Another issue is that when you install the firewall Windows is always in test mode and you can't get out of this with the firewall installed, I guess it must be because of the unsigned drivers. 1. RusRoute firewall have not free licences since 2.1.9 version, just 30-days shareware.
2. Yes, Test mode of Windows is need for self-signed drivers (RusRoute, vpn) to work with out of signature checks. You can use not later versions (2.01-100) of driver included in your setup, witch is signed, not in Test mode of Windows, but it does not have some functionality (one bug workaround and IPv6 TCP kernel mode optimizations). The other way You can sign unsigned drivers by your certificate (if you have it) and install them manualy.

Could you consider the idea of your firewall having the free option for a single user strictly non-commercial?


Also if the vpn feature driver is expensive to maintain it would support that option so it doesn't force us to install the firewall and have Windows go into trial mode because of that driver. By the way I did not install the vpn option but it still put Windows in test mode. Thank you very much in advance. Best regards.

1. I know some facts of using RusRoute firewall for organizations by switching to a home non-commertial mode. RusRoute firewall is intended as a corporate product at first. I can't say will or will not RusRoute firewall have a free licence in the future.
2. Both, VPN and RusRoute drivers are self-signed, using RusRoute with out of vpn is need to switch Windows in test mode for later driver to use too.
RusRoute development is expensive: for example, code signing sertificate was cost more 1000$ per year before february, 2022. And Microsoft has changed its politic of signing drivers, this is a hard and complex way now 😟😟😟. And there is no possibility for me to buy code signing sertificate in my country now.
